The texture pastes in the Sonnet series are water-based and create a durable, indelible relief surface once dry. You can paint over the primer with acrylic, tempera, gouache, or oil colors. Use the water-based texture paste to add volume to your paintings. The paste can also be diluted with water to achieve different levels of roughness. Be sure to wait until the paste is completely dry before applying any paint. Once dry, the paste becomes permanent and solid. You can apply it using various tools: a stiff-bristled brush will create lighter marks, while a soft brush will produce different effects. A painting knife is particularly useful for easily spreading the paste and scratching patterns into it.
HIGH PAINTING VOLUME WITH LESS MONEY;
- The texture paste is a great way to add volume to your painting without using too much paint.
- You can also reach different textures on different parts of the painting.
- The texture paste can be diluted with water to reach variant roughness levels.
VERSATILE USE;
- Use with different types of paint – Oil paint, acrylic colors, tempera or gouache.
- For best results use on canvas or hard paper.
EASY TO APPLY;
Can be applied with different tools:
- A coarse or stiff-haired brush will create more marks in the paint than a soft brush.
A painting knife is useful because it’s easy to spread out and to scratch patterns into the paste.
ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY;
- Water-based.
- Non-toxic.
